Beyond the Classroom - Mary Botticelli Christensen
Join Beyond the Classroom host, David Schonfeld, on Thursday, September 26 from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m.
In Program #4, David talks to Mary Botticelli Christensen.
Dr. Mary Botticelli Christensen is Assistant Professor in the Department of Education. She is the coordinator of the Secondary English Education Program for those students seeking certification as secondary English teachers. She is also the Director of a unique program, Educational Main Street (EMS), whose mission is to serve the educational needs of the Greater Hartford community while also meeting the academic needs of University of Hartford students.
In this conversation with David, Dr. Christensen discusses the evolution and functioning of Educational Main Street: a reciprocal collaboration between the University and the Hartford community--"the hyphen between service and learning".
