Tuesday Evening Classics - Homilius: Matthäuspassion
Join Tuesday Evening Classics host David Schonfeld on April 1, 2014 from 4-8 p.m.
From about 5-7 p.m., David will be playing a complete performance of the Passion according to St. Matthew (Matthäuspassion) by Gottfried August Homilius, born 300 years ago in 1714. Homilius, a Dresden-based organist, choir director, as well as composer, was an exact contemporary of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and himself studied for a time under the great Johann Sebastian.
