In Program #10, David talks to Lynne Kelly.
Dr. Lynne Kelly, Professor and Director of the School of Communication, teaches courses in group, organizational, and interpersonal communication; communication technologies and relationships; research methods; and a special communication course for shy and apprehensive students.
In the first part of this two-part interview (Program #9), Dr. Kelly talked with David about communication training for reticent persons, public speaking techniques, and best practices for meetings.
In today's program, Dr. Kelly talks about the use (and misuse) of meetings, email, the telephone, texting, and the new social media technologies; "channel choice", effectiveness and appropriateness in communication; and the enduring place of face-to-face contact.
