Tuesday Morning Jazz - Avery Sharpe
Bassist/composer Avery Sharpe will be interviewed by Chuck Obuchowski on WWUH 91.3 FM during "Out Here & Beyond: Tuesday Morning Jazz" October 11 at 10 AM.
Sharpe will be at The Buttonwood Tree, 605 Main St, Middletown CT on Saturday, Oct. 15 to perform in the seventh annual Connecticut Composers & Improvisers Festival, which runs from 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Also on the bill will be groups led by guitarist Michael Musillami and by trumpeter Stephen Haynes.
Avery Sharpe has worked with many outstanding jazz musicians during the past three decades, most notably as McCoy Tyner's bassist for more than 20 years. His latest recording as a leader, "Running Man," was issued earlier this year on JKNM Records.
