Summertime Band Concert #2 – Marching Down Broadway with the Poet and Peasant Blues
The 23rd season of Summertime Band Concerts continues on Drake’s Village Brass Band, the final part of A Musical Odyssey, Classical Music for Monday Evenings. Join Drake the Bandmaster as he features some Marching Broadway tunes, music by Jerome Kern and selections from John Philip Sousa’s El Capitan. Soloists include Russell Grey on cornet from England and the Canadian Brass with full concert band.
This show will feature a little Poet and Peasant number, some bluesy tunes and even a Wrong Note Rag. Monday August 22nd from 6:30 till 8:00 PM
