The Haneef Nelson Quintet opens at 6. Trumpeter Haneef has played with some of the living legends of this music including Jimmy Owens; Donald Byrd, Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, and others. Headlining is the GIACOMO GATES QUARTET. JazzTimes noted of vocalist Gates, "Though Kurt Elling, Andy Bey and Mark Murphy garner greater attention, there's no question that Giacomo Gates belongs in their exalted league."
