Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival at Winding Trails
The Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival, the Farmington Valley’s own version of Tanglewood, will take place on Saturday, October 22 from noon to 6 p.m., at Winding Trails in Farmington.
Come and enjoy some great music at Winding Trails in the tranquil forest around Walton Pond. This festival will highlight some of the great local musical talent we have in the area, as well as songwriting and vocal workshops and a fiddle contest. Food and refreshments will be available for sale or feel free to bring your own. These programs will be held rain or shine.
There will be three stages with performances by some great regional talent, including: Dana Pomfret and Tim McDonald. Musical acts include: Jeff Przech, Brian Dolzani, Jen Lowe, The Coffee Grinders, Belle of the Fall, The Duo, Dana Pomfret, Tim McDonald, Eric Paradine, Ruth George, Mark Perry, Gregg Hoffman, Bill Benson, Blackberry Jam, and more!
Dana Pomfret is a singer-songwriter from NYC, now living in New England. She has recorded her original music for Elektra, SBK and Warner Bros, International Records, and grew up playing New York's rock and folk institutions. Tim spent decades working in LA and San Francisco as a performer, writer and jingles singer
Tickets purchased at the gate will be $15 for adults and $8 for children. Advance admission is $10 for Adults and $8 for Children (Ages 3-15) for non-members and can be purchased on-line at www.windingtrails.org or by calling (860) 677-8458. The gates will open at 11 AM.
Winding Trails, a non-profit organization with a rich history has been a staple in the community for over 65 years. The organization sits on 380 acres of woods, waterways, and spectacular facilities in Farmington, Connecticut. From ziplining, to cross country skiing, conservation and education programs to special events, its no wonder there is a one to two year wait list to become a member of this New England oasis. A non-member’s ticket into this gorgeous piece of land is through “the Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival at Winding Trails.”
