As Paul Browns annual Bushnell Park free jazz concert series enters its 34th
season, WWUH radio will be on hand once again to present live broadcasts of the downtown
Hartford summer shows, Mondays from 6-9 p.m., beginning July 9 through August 20.
For the full concert schedule, click on: Bushnell
Jazz Schedule 2001. Listen for all the latest details on this concert series
during our weekday jazz programs at 91.3 FM, and via the 'UH Jazzline' (860)768-5267.
Opening acts
take the Bushnell Park Pavilion stage at 6 pm; headlining bands begin their sets by 7:30.
Two WWUH jazz announcers will host every broadcast, for the benefit of those who cannot
attend the outdoor festivities. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn
chairs. Food vendors set up shop nearby for those who dont wish to carry their own
picnic fixings. Free parking is available at the State Capitol Building, and on streets
surrounding Bushnell Park.
The Charter Oak
Cultural Center at 21 Charter Oak Ave., just off Main Street, is the Monday Night Jazz
Series rain site. Again, stay tuned to WWUH for last minute updates on the series.
